Posted on 03:25 by Unknown
Microsoft outlook 2010 In Microsoft Outlook, the Internet E-mail information service stores information that allows you to log on to your Internet e-mail server. The post office protocol is one of the easiest ways to gain access to your email account in an email client program such as Outlook 2010. Like other platforms to configure your email client program, POP3 provides certain benefits over other protocols. These benefits include, but are not limited to, the capability of having "local copies of your email" and the peace of mind that your "email box will not fill up," according to California State Polytechnic University. This blog described how to set up a new POP3 email in outlook.

If you want to set up POP3 email feature in your outlook 2010 ,you can happily do so in some of the steps below.otherwise you can also follow the articleHow to Setup a POP3 Email Account in Microsoft Outlook 2010 ,which contain details about POP3 email setting.

  •  when you set new POP3 email, first, Contact your email provider and get its incoming mail server and outgoing mail server (SMTP) credentials.
  • Then open outlook2010, select ‘info’ from ‘File’ and then click the "Add Account" link located in the Account Information section. The Auto Account Setup window opens.
  • From auto account setup window ,select the "Manually Configure Server Settings or Additional Server Types" radio button and then click "Next." The Add New Account window opens.
  •  There is two fields that is "Your Name" and "Email Address" fields, provide your name and email address.
  • From “Account Type" menu, choose "POP3"and then type your provider's server credentials in the "Incoming Mail Server" and "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" fields, respectively.
  • Enter your full email address and password under the fields provided in the Logon Information section. Check the "Remember Password" box.
  • After completing the all above steps then go to the Deliver Email Messages To section and then select how you would like Outlook 2010 to deliver your incoming emails by choosing one of the radio buttons displayed. Unless you have a backup of a previous Outlook folder configuration, select the default setting by choosing the "New Outlook Data File" radio button.
  • Select "Next" and finally choose "Finish." You have successfully added a new email account in Outlook 2010.
